Before & After Care
Hair Extensions
You have invested in yourself by getting extensions…way to go you!! Now we want to make sure you have to knowledge & tools to protect these fabulous new locks!
- Always use an extension brush or wet brush to brush your hair. Secure the row with one hand to ensure no stress on the rows.
- Try to shampoo two times or less a week and use the products your stylist recommends. Products with high alcohol content cause matting with extension hair.
- Once a week use a hair mask. This ensures your extension hair has a longer life.
- Always braid your hair before you go to sleep. This prevents matting and you hair getting pulled in an unnatural way while tossing & turning in your sleep. A silk or satin pillowcase is recommended.
- Avoid things that affect the integrity of your extensions such as chlorine, salt water & sun screen.
- Ponytails are so cute! Here’s how to do it properly…High pony- tip your head over and pull all your hair up. Low pony- collect the hair at the nape of your neck using a goomee or soft hair tie to ensure no breakage.

Microblading Post Treatment Guidelines
- Microblading eyebrows is a “dry heal”, do not get wet & no sweating for 10 days
- For the next 48 hours avoid any water near the face. This includes bathing, washing your face or hair. Use a facial cleansing wipe to clean face, while avoiding the brow area.
- After 48 hours, apply a thin layer of Vaseline prior to showering. Blot off the Vaseline with a tissue or cloth immediately after showering until dry
- Do not rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring & pigment loss
- Completely avoid direct sun exposure & tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing & can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring
- Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers & hot baths for 3 weeks
- Avoid sweating and exercise for 10 days. This can cause the “hairstrokes” to blur under the skin, there is not correction for this
- Avoid sleeping on your face/ brows for the first 10 days.
- No makeup or skincare products can be used on the treated area for 2 weeks.
- No facials, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 1 month
- No eyebrow tinting for 2 weeks
- Avoid the use of Retin-A, Chemical Peels, Microderms and all other topical exfoliants
Shaded Eyebrow Post Treatment Guidelines
- Keep area CLEAN
- For the first day, 2-3 hours after procedure, lightly cleanse the area with unscented gentle cleanser & rinse thoroughly. Gently dab your brows with a tissue to dry.
- DO NOT rub, peel or pick the area
- Days 1-10 make sure your hands are clean and use your fingertips: pat dry after cleansing with a paper towel & apply a very small amount of Aquaphor 2-3 times a day (make sure you don’t over apply as this will cause additional pigment loss)
- Avoid: picking at them: this could cause scarring & additional pigment loss.
- Avoid Facials, Botox & Chemical treatments for at least 4 weeks.
- Avoid working out for at least 10 days (anything that would cause you to sweat)
- Avoid Direct exposure for the following 3 weeks.
- Wear a hat for the first 2 weeks, then apply sunscreen
- Avoid long hot showers & steam for the first 10 days
- Avoid swimming & makeup over treated area for 2 weeks
What to expect:
- Day 1: Brows will appear slightly thinker than we drew them and sometimes may appear uneven because they may be swollen; color looks darker and warmer due to the redness in the skin
- Days 2-4: Brows are darker than what you’ve expected & about 2 shades darker than what they will be once healed. Some redness may persist on some clients.
- Days 6-10: Brows normally start peeling around day 5-6. Some clients slightly peel, while others may experience some scabbing. Once they start flaking, some areas of the eyebrow will fade more than others as the pigment oxidizes it will start to darken up again over a 3–4-week period
- Days 28-40: At this time, you will start seeing the final result. People that heal quickly and young clients can see their final color by the 4–5-week mark, while mature adult women and people that heal slower will have to wait until weel 6-7 to see the final color. We have no control over your healing process so please, be patient!
